The Charlottesville Death Trap

by David Sims

HEATHER HEYER wasn’t murdered. She was an accident victim. The driver of a Dodge Challenger, James Alex Fields, was driving down a street in Charlottesville, Virginia, going too fast for conditions. His car was moving at about 25 miles per hour, when he should have been going no faster than 10 mph, due to large numbers of people lining both sides of the road.

The people, however, were “Antifa” activists, armed with baseball bats, which they had brought with them to use as weapons. It’s likely that Fields was going faster than he should because he wanted to get through the area with as little damage to his car as possible.

As Fields was going past the Antifa activists, one of them smashed his car with a baseball bat. Distracted by the bat’s impact, Fields turned his head to look backward at exactly the wrong moment. During the few seconds when he was not looking where he was going, he rear-ended a slower moving car on the street ahead of him. That car was bumped into a third car in front of it, which in turn was pushed into a fatal collision with Heather Heyer, age 31, occupation paralegal.

Had Fields not been distracted, he would probably have noticed traffic ahead in time to put on his brakes and avoid the collision. And Heather Heyer would still be alive.

After the collision, about a dozen Antifa members swarmed and attacked Fields’ car, breaking out windows and apparently trying to get to Fields in order to kill him. In a panic, Fields put his car into reverse to make an escape from his attackers.

This is actually a reasonable thing to do. I’ve seen videos prepared by US government agencies as advisories to US diplomatic personnel about what to do if you are in a vehicle that has been trapped by a hostile mob, suggesting a similar tactical course of action. Also, there is this:

During my long career I have been in such situations numerous times and the threat of being set-up, ambushed etc. is always present but that goes with the turf. I am sure it was clear to the teenage gangbanger who was sitting next to me that if things went bad he would be the first to be gut shot; if I was going to suffer, so was he! I am fairly certain I was the only white guy for a few miles around and the odds of me making it out would have been slim… such is life, I chose to be there. Having served in Northern Ireland with the British Army in the late 80s and early 90s the murders of Corporals Howes and Woods in Belfast, 1988 emphasized how vulnerable a vehicle is when trapped by a violent mob and how your reaction must be fast and aggressive. (Orlando Wilson, “Driving in Hostile Areas,” published in The Circuit: The Magazine for Security Professionals.)

Too often a judgment about whether someone in a bad situation did rightly or wrongly in extricating himself from danger depends on political considerations. Let’s not be hypocrites. Let us have one moral standard for everybody.

James Alex Fields isn’t innocent. He drove in a reckless manner, and his recklessness resulted in someone’s death, with the mitigating factor that he was distracted by an Antifa hitting his car with a baseball bat. But he is certainly neither a terrorist nor a murderer. Most of the accusations against him assign to him more guilt than he deserves. He was charged with second degree murder, although his most serious crime would be better described as negligent manslaughter. Arguably, a charge of second degree murder could be filed against the city manager and the councilmen of Charlottesville, Virginia, for contriving the situation that led to Heather Heyer’s death.

Antifa have created a contra-factual ideology that holds that White nationalist speech is “hate speech” (which, mostly, it isn’t) and that “hate speech” is not “free speech” (though, mostly, it is — just ask the federal judge who reinstated Unite the Right’s rally permit). They use their self-serving ideology as a justification for using threats, intimidation, and violence to prevent groups that they don’t like from using their own freedom of speech.

If Antifa and Black Lives Matter hadn’t imposed themselves upon Charlottesville, the White nationalists of Unite the Right would have had their torchlight rally and then dispersed back to their homes. Nothing bad would have happened.

The media have concocted a narrative that mixes truth with lies, abuses emphasis, and makes inexcusable omissions of important facts. That is, the media are presently trying to do to Unite the Right what they tried to do to George Zimmerman during the days leading up to his trial over the Trayvon Martin shooting in 2012. Let’s hope that these incorrigible deceivers fail this time, too.

There is, at least for now, a video that shows parts of the James Alex Fields’ collision with another car, and his subsequent escape from Antifa attackers, that the media routinely censor from their own videos.

It is quite possible that the city government in Charlottesville, Virginia invited Antifa (“anti-fascist” thugs) and BLM (“Black Lives Matter,” also Soros- and riot-connected) to town, precisely so they would make trouble, start fights, and thus give the state troopers an excuse to declare Unite the Right’s rally to be “an unlawful assembly.” It was a clever political trick, but I hope very much that the city council and city manager will be prosecuted in federal court and found guilty of conspiracy to violate constitutional rights and to endanger the public.

After initially granting a permit for Unite the Right to hold a rally in Lee Park, the city manager cancelled the permit in what he thought was near enough to the date of the rally that the event’s organizers couldn’t possibly do anything about it. He was wrong. The Unite the Right people sued the city in a federal court and won the reinstatement of the permit.

In reaction to that development, the city government became sneakily rebellious, and concocted a plan by which the rally could be terminated anyway. They called Antifa and BLM to come hold a counter-protest in about the same place and at the same time as the Unite the Right rally. Both of those leftist groups have a long record of initiating violence, and, predictably, they started fights with the White nationalists. This starting of fights was made very easy by the fact that the city council had ordered the city police to stand down and disappear, leaving no significant barrier between two enemy groups.

When the fights began, a number of state troopers who had remained in the area ordered the Unite the Right people to disperse, evidently giving no similar instructions to Antifa or to BLM, even though they were the instigators of nearly every fight.

The enemy’s recruits may be of very low quality, but they are vicious and violent.

This was a very clever, very sneaky plan by the Charlottesville city government, and it worked. The White nationalists, who had trusted in the rule of law and the just enforcement of the laws, were betrayed. They’d obeyed all of the rules pertaining to holding a rally, but their obedience didn’t bring them any favor at all from the authorities.

The White nationalists carried torches to show their numbers, so that the government they were petitioning for redress of grievances would know that they were more than just a handful of malcontents. The media used the fact that the White nationalists were identifying themselves in this way to assert that the torches were weapons and that their purpose was intimidation.

The media are solidly on the side of the Left. They never report on violence committed by leftists at clashes between protesters and counter-protesters, unless they can with plausibility insinuate that the right-wing victims of that violence had “asked for it.” The media have, in this case, even left it open to speculation as to whether the White nationalists somehow shot down a police helicopter, which crashed miles away — probably due to poor maintenance.

While the media lead the flood of distortions and lies about clashes between right- and left-wing activists, always bending the narrative in favor of the left, others see which way the political wind is blowing and hop on what they believe will be the winning side. To curry favor with the media, they begin telling lies of their own.

For example, Seth Wispelwey of the local United Church of Christ said “White supremacists rallying in our town is an act of violence.”

No, it isn’t. White nationalists have the same rights that anyone else does. And, left alone, they’d use those rights responsibly. It’s the left and the Blacks who organize riots under the pretext of free-speech rallies.

And White nationalists aren’t supremacists. There weren’t any White supremacists in Charlottesville that day. The rally was being held by White nationalists. Nationalists and supremacists are opposites, in that supremacists want other groups to serve them, whereas nationalists oppose slavery, especially when it involves non-Whites living among Whites.

But because the word “supremacist” carries uglier connotations than the word nationalist does, it is the label of choice by the Jewish-owned mass media. It is the MSM’s duplicitous propaganda word. And anyone else who uses it has probably allowed his or her brain to atrophy from spending too much time watching TV and too little time thinking things out for himself.

If you want to find supremacists, you’ll have more success in Israel than in Virginia.

Politicians (such as Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe) have taken their cue from the media’s slant, and nearly all of them have lined up according to the leftist program — assigning all the blame to the political right, none of the blame to the political left, and using the fact that violence occurred and accidents happened as “proof” that the ideology of the right-wing is wrong-headed and malicious. Nothing could be further from the truth — because it is the opposite of the truth.

One of the reasons the leftist attack groups can be so feral and violent is that they are being paid to be feral and violent. Someone with lots of money is subsidizing their organization. The leftists in them, the ones who bring clubs and other weapons when they go to disrupt right-wing rallies, don’t need to fear losing their jobs on account of engaging in criminal activities — because doing such things is what their “employer” wants them to do.

Whomever the employer is (my prime suspect is George Soros) is engaging in organized crime, and he needs to be taken down by legal action. And any punishment by the courts that is less severe than life in prison would be incommensurate with the harm he has done.

A cogent account of the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, the corruption and lies of government officials, and the deceptions of the mass media, is presented by Unite the Right organizer Vincent James in the video below.

I will be at the Boston free speach rally 8-19-17. Trying to use this opportunity to reach out to some like minded individuals and recruit for the Alliance. The time is now. Our people are waking up.

So where can I donate to Mr. Fields’ defense team? I won’t stand by and let the left erode our Civil Rights.

Correction: Dodge Challenger. Big difference.

Outside of that, great article.

Keep up the great work.

Just one more correction:

The torch march took place on Friday evening without any incidents outside of a minor brawl initiated by a handful of Antifa rodents surrounding the Jefferson monument on the UVA campus where the torch march ended.

What really gets me in any of these interviews and discourses is the assumption that if you really ARE a neo-Nazi or member of an explicitly pro-White group, a self-identified White Nationalist, say, the assumption is that you, as a neo-Nazi or White Nationalist, shouldn’t be allowed to assemble or exorcise your freedom of speech. Just listen to some of the Alt-Lite “patriot” types, saying things like “…well, not all of us at the Unite The Right rally were neo-Nazis…”, implicitly agreeing that actual “racists” DON’T deserve to assemble and have their voices heard! But, on the other hand, no one raises the same objections when The New Black Panthers come together publicly and/or show up at the voting booths WITH GUNS shouting “We need to start killing White babies!”… Read more »

Have no sympathy for that female who was killed in the car collisions. She was a member of an organized group dedicated to disrupting others public political gatherings. They are organized because they are summoned upon demand, from across state lines and more importantly across the spectrum of LEFTIST causes (animal rights, BLM, anti-Wall Street, earth firster, et alia). They disrupt by haranguing, threatening, intimidating and outright violence if the opportunity presents itself such as no police present or as is more often the case police indifferent. They throw feces, urine, acid other disgusting objects. They grab away their opponents flags/signs and other objects.

She was countenancing this hooliganism by associating with them.

No sympathy for her.

I save my sympathy for over 100,000 Whites murdered/raped/robbed/assaulted each year by negroes.

Greetings Thomas. Have those animal rights activists ever acknowledged the evil Nazis who were the first to introduce legislation to prevent cruelty to animals?

No.
The PETA calendar also lists Jewish and Islamic holidays, but few if any others, despite the fact that Asian and African cultures treat animals the worst worldwide and have done so for thousands of years.
I also wonder what they do with ‘rescued’ obligate carnivores such as cats or ferrets.
You might be able to torture a dog for a while by feeding him tofu, rice and beans – dogs will eat anything if they’re hungry enough, including their own waste – but that won’t work with cats.
I think animal rights and environmentalist groups start out with perfectly good and noble intentions, but are very quickly infiltrated, corrupted and turned into fifth columns of the enemy.

After having observed what has been going on in America the last couple of years, from the other side of the pond, I can not help but think that Americans tend to be a bit naive. We have had all the BLM riots, the election and the circus after Killary lost with riots, hysterical obese women in pussy hats, SJWs, Antifa and so forth. Is it even possible to keep track of all the times the urban rabble consisting of so called POCs and anarchists have attacked normal people? I have seen people expose themselves to dangers totally unnecessary (such as grey haired old men in t-shirts getter maced after trying to discuss with the Antifa), and i think it is because Americans tend to think of freedom of speech… Read more »

I hope the young man charged with the crime, will be represented by a competent attorney, and not have to rely on a public defender. Government, media, the liberal, and just about everyone else will be screeching and wailing for his head. Unfortunately, he is doomed. My opinion. Any witnesses that come forward in his defense, will be quickly ruled ineligeble, and dismissed by the judge. Jurors will be made up of people with sympathies for the woman killed. This case is already decided. Guilty as charged! Because it is murder, and hate crime in the eyes of government, he will be given the death penalty. Is it any wonder why some people choose to become National Socialists? At least the intelligent ones!!!

I’ve heard that he had to rely on a public defender. I hope that was just for the arraignment hearing but I fear he just might have to rely on the public defender the whole ordeal.

I’m sure that the courts will somehow find reasons to omit the video showing that the people on that street were looking for trouble. One struck the rear of his car in what looked like the car was a half block away from the other cars it collided with. Seconds after impact, the rear of the car was swarmed with club and weapon wielding people who shattered his windows.

Maybe, just maybe, Fields was in fear and accidentally rear ended the first vehicle.

I would just say this in regards to the term, White Supremacist. Today’s negative meaning attached to the term, “White supremacy”, is a creation of the real supremacists, the jews, as it is taught in their Talmud with the purpose of generating hatred for Whites from the other races and enlist these nonwhites as allies in their age old war against the White race. While Whites have no desire to rule over other races, jews seek to subjugate all non-jews and rule over them like an effendi. To wit: “Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world; only to serve the people of Israel. Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap; and we will sit like… Read more »

For some reason, the picture of the hate-crazed antifa bearing the sign “Killing Nazism Is My Heritage” reminds me of the Jewish spree killer Dylan Klebold.

There is also the legal issue of proximity. He should have been aware of the possibility of colliding with the vehicle in front of him but he could not have anticipated or intended that the vehicle would collide with another then another then a person. if he has been held responsible for this then the primary perpetrator is/are the wielders of the baseball bats. The woman with the sign “Killing Nazis is my heritage should be denied access to unemployment benefits, sick pay, child welfare benefits and paid vacations because those evil Nazis were the first ever to introduce them.
