Hungary’s Orban Under Attack Over Miklos Horthy Mention

THE INTERNATIONAL Jewish lobby has been driven into a frenzy of renewed hatred against Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban — just because he dared mention a Hungarian wartime leader in a review of leaders who had helped Hungary rebuild itself after the First World War.

According to reports, the World Jewish Congress and the leading Jewish group in Hungary both issued statements condemning Orban’s mention of Miklos Horthy, the World War II-era leader who allied Hungary with National Socialist Germany.

WJC President Ronald Lauder said his organization would always condemn “deplorable actions” like Horthy’s and rejected any attempts to excuse or justify them.

In a speech on Wednesday last week — ironically just hours before he hosted Lauder in Parliament — Orban called Horthy and other Hungarian leaders “exceptional statesmen” for leading the country after the traumatic disintegration of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after World War I.

Orban’s comments were also criticized by Andras Heiszler, president of the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities, who said the Horthy era’s anti-Semitism “cannot be put as an example for future generations.”

In addition, the United States “Holocaust” Memorial Museum also issued a statement condemning Orban, saying that his description of Horthy, who served as Hungarian head of state from 1920 to 1944, as an “exceptional statesman” was a “gross distortion of historical fact” and was “the latest in a long series of propagandistic attempts of the Fidesz political party and the Hungarian government that Mr. Orban leads to rewrite Hungarian history.”

Orban, who is in fact very pro-Jewish, is finding out quickly that there is no compromise with the international Jewish lobby: either a politician is completely under their control, or else the Jewish lobby declares them an “anti-Semite” and therefore an enemy.

“Orban, who is in fact very pro-Jewish”. A man who calls out Soros and who opposes at least a bit the non-white invasion, deserves some admiration. I’d like to see references backing the claim that Mr Orban is pro-kikes
