This Day in History: 1927-09-07
1927: The first electronic television transmission takes place under the direction of the system’s inventor, Philo T. Farnsworth. The camera’s subject was Farnsworth’s beloved wife and collaborator, Pem. Farnsworth, a White American, was prevented from getting proper recognition for or profit from his invention through the machinations of Jewish media mogul David Sarnoff, who tried to steal Farnsworth’s patents.
