Why Are You so Critical of the Church?

Introductory Note: When asked why he was so critical of the church, famed Italian mathematician Piergiorgio Odifreddi replied as quoted below. Odifreddi, a prominent writer on atheism, received his mathematics degree at Turin in 1973, followed with American studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana (during Revilo P. Oliver’s tenure there; though we do not know if the two men ever met, some of their interests clearly coincide), UCLA, and Russian and Soviet studies at Novosibirsk State University in Russia.

Why Are You so Critical of the Church?

FIRST: BECAUSE THEY KILLED my deities. For over a thousand years, our Gods and Goddesses, each complementary in their nature, had temples built for them in which they could be worshipped. The infiltrating Christian government of the crippled Roman Empire deemed our deities “pagan” and “evil,” effectively ripping out a large part of our identity, spitting on it, and destroying it.

Second: Because they killed wisdom. The ingenuity of my people saw advancements beyond human comprehension. We were on our way to harnessing the power of steam when Christians arrived and burned down libraries like savage idiots, declaring them “pagan” for having the turpitude to study the stars — rightly an innocent point of fascination and awe for countless civilizations before. This ushered in an era of ignorance and misery. Christian apologists will tell you that this period, thanks to Christianity, flourished — even though there are few records and few inventions from this time. But these are the same fools who tell us that Christianity is “responsible for our civilization,” after they destroyed our places of study and worship and barred non-Christians from learning. Is it really surprising that it was those closely acquainted with the monarchy and the church who made every scientific advancement during this environment of oppression?

Third: Because they killed love. When the Italic peoples sought to replace Venus, a manifestation of the Divine Feminine and Platonic love whose memory was then faint, with the concept of courtly love, the church responded with prosecution, always their means of achieving their ends; because, according to Christianity (which is really a Judaic philosophy), the feminine is “evil” and not, as our people once believed, responsible for all life, but instead responsible for all misery and hardship, deserving to be spit upon and destroyed — just like our identity. If this sounds sick and backward to you, it should. You can see similar attitudes towards women in pornography, a business largely dominated by ethnic Jews. Christianity later adopted (plagiarized) this pagan idea of women, however, because their oppression was losing its grip, and their very own European genes told them this harsh treatment was unnecessary. This led to the cult of Mary, an institution dedicated to the worship of the Divine Goddess, which was criticized by many non-Catholic Christians as being pagan. Indeed, it was criticized so often and with such great intensity, that by the Victorian era it had all but died.

And lastly, because now, in all their infallible wisdom, they have elected a Pope who wishes to kill my people. Ethnic Italians are being erased from the planet by invaders as Mr. Francis claps his hands like a giddy baby. So tell me: Why should I worship the God of a church that seeks to destroy every last part of my identity, including myself?
