Finding Black Geniuses
Where have they been all our lives?

ACCORDING to a new article in the Washington Post, there are thousands of undiscovered Black and Mestizo geniuses all around us, but they are “just too poor for anyone to discover them.” Unsurprisingly, the article does not explicitly reveal that the “successes” of these “undiscovered geniuses” are based mainly on affirmative-action-style admissions policies, and not on actual cognitive ability. The “success” is the admission into the gifted program itself — actual grade performance afterward is not mentioned.
This standard table of IQ frequencies is based on an average IQ of 100. I use the more generous Stanford-Binet scale in the table to err on the side of extra Black mega-geniuses.
Taking 100 as the average White IQ in the US (it is actually higher), 3% of people would have an IQ of 130 or higher.
But a special program in Tampa, Florida set up to identify Black geniuses among the poorest and lowest-IQ Blacks, elevated 240 of them to the gifted category. They now claim that 20% of those have an IQ of 130 or higher.
Since the average Black IQ in the United States is 80 (and for these guys it may be lower), only 0.08% would actually have that IQ level (comparable to 150 IQ in Whites).
So only one Black in 1250 should have an IQ of 130 or above, but in this process, they trumpet the “fact” that 48 in 240 were “geniuses.”
How did they arrive at these, uh, “results”? Simple: They lied.
First, they applied different standards to Whites and non-Whites: If a non-White has an IQ of 116 or above, he is defined as gifted. A White student, on the other hand, has to score 130 to be placed in the gifted category. Then, after an unspecified period of time, the “school psychologists started working overtime,” whatever that means, to re-evaluate the gifted non-Whites they’d already evaluated, and “discovered” that 20% of those non-Whites already shown to have an IQ in excess of 116 actually had an IQ of 130 or more.
That is, even ignoring all the incentives that the “school psychologists working overtime” might have had to fudge the numbers, the simple fact is that in this school system’s gifted students program, 20% of the non-Whites were extremely bright, while 100% of the Whites were.
Another way of putting it: eight out of ten of the non-White students in the gifted program were noticeably less intelligent than the Whites in the same program.
Yet another way of putting it: If the standards had never been lowered, practically no non-Whites would be in the gifted students program — even in a school district that is majority non-White.
What a triumph for “equality”!
This expensive program to identify Black geniuses is simply based on faking the test results. Fake test results, by the way, were budgeted at $300 each.
I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
