THE CHAIRPERSON of the ‘Self-Help Trust of Namibia’, Kosie Pretorius (pictured), has once again lobbied [the Namibian] government for the establishment of an Afrikaner traditional authority. Pretorius, who is also the Monitor Action Group (MAG) political party leader, was accompanied by party secretary Jurie Viljoen when they met President Hifikepunye Pohamba at State House on Friday.
Pretorius told reporters after the meeting that the courtesy call was not only to lobby for the establishment of an Afrikaner traditional authority, but they also engaged the President on the possibilities of subsidising the proposed traditional authority.
